With such a diversity of landscapes, it is no surprise that wildlife abounds in this environment far from human activity. Major predators such as lions, leopards, cheetahs and wild dogs find refuge here alongside huge herds of wildebeest, buffalo, zebra and various species of antelope. The reserve is also a haven for birds, with over 2,000 species recorded.
