As part of its travel agency activities, Tawana Safaris collects information about you, which is used to process your travel requests, but also to get to know you better and improve its services.

We respect your privacy and are committed to treating your personal data with the confidentiality and respect it deserves, in accordance with the Data Protection Act of 3 August 2018, implemented by the Government of Botswana.

What data does Tawana Safaris collect?

This includes information that you send when contacting us, preparing for or booking a trip, and more broadly when we communicate with each other. The data collected is as follows:

  • Legal and regulatory information: driving licence, passport
  • Optional sensitive data related to health, dietary preferences or a personal event

This information will be considered confidential and will be used strictly to provide the service requested within the framework of our commercial relationship exclusively.

However, the information provided may be shared with our suppliers and partners for legal and regulatory purposes or to ensure the smooth running of your stay.

We may also collect personal information from third parties: other trip participants, emergency contacts, etc. We consider that they have been informed and have consented to the transfer of their personal data to Tawana Safaris. They also have the same rights of access, rectification and deletion.

Tawana Safaris uses the data recorded in order to:

Tawana Self Drive produces an annual newsletter to keep you up to date with our news and the past season. Subscribers can unsubscribe at any time via the link at the bottom of the newsletter or by writing to us at contact@tawanaselfdrive.com

If you pay for your trip by credit card, you will access fully secure pages via the PayFast platform, the leading online payment provider in Southern Africa.

We use cookies for certain features of our website to ensure it functions properly and to collect analytical data to understand and improve our users’ experience. We do not use them for advertising purposes. These are mainly Google Analytics cookies.
