This trip was excellent and everything went smoothly!
In Moremi and Chobe, we saw more animals than we had hoped for. After all the rain, the landscapes are spectacular, the wildlife is healthy and the birdlife is more beautiful than ever.
The tracks were all good, hardened by the wet weather, although we never had any rain in Botswana, except for Ghanzi on the first night.
In Namibia, it was also very good with our first visit to Khaudum Park. The camps are splendid and we saw quite a few animals, especially antelopes. The tracks lived up to their reputation for being difficult. We settled into the camp just before heavy rains. When it was time to leave, the rains intensified and we found ourselves deeply stuck in the mud. Fortunately, we managed to get out fairly easily with the help of another vehicle!
A big thank you for everything you did to make this safari memorable. Our British friends, who were on their first self-drive safari, really found it to be something very special. So did we.
