After discovering northwestern Namibia in 2019, we wanted to see another side of this country. The Caprivi Strip is green, and we see crops along the D3402 (parallel to the paved B8, which is less interesting for those who don’t want to rack up the miles), dotted with villages. We encounter a fairly large population and many children.
Botswana, which followed, was pure magic from start to finish: a true paradise for wild animals, we were amazed that we were able to wake up at dawn to track down lions, leopards, wild dogs, and more.
We admired Victoria Falls from the Zambian side and then from the Zimbabwean side.
Our journey ended with an amazing three-night mobile safari, an unforgettable experience for camping novices like us! We were pampered by an extraordinary team who took care of our every need and listened to us at all times.
A huge thank you to Julie and Vincent from Tawana Self Drive who put together a wonderful road trip for us, listening to our needs during the preparation and throughout the trip.
A big thank you to the Lucky team, who made us appreciate the mobile safari and amazed our children and grandchildren for embarking on this adventure!
See you soon for new adventures in Southern Africa, because even if the clock is ticking, our desire to travel and meet new people is still alive and well!
