Self-drive safari is the perfect way to experience a nature, adventure and contemplation-focused photo safari!

It’s the chance to take a unique and authentic journey, driving your own vehicle into magnificent, little-visited national parks where wildlife is abundant.

The road will not always be easy, and the power of the Land Cruiser will lead you into the adventure of Botswana and its deep sands…

With the telephone network virtually non-existent, time stands still like an enforced disconnection. All your senses are alert, and your maps, Tracks4Africa and your camera become your best friends as you navigate into the parks. There are few service stations, and satellite phones are a last resort.

Zebras, elephants, antelopes, giraffes, lions and birds… will be part of your daily life from sunrise to sunset, and the rewards will be magical for those who take the time to observe them, or even to track them for certain species!

From Kasane to Maun, via Chobe River Front, Savuti, Khwai or Moremi Third Bridge, our 10-day Self-Drive adventure took us through environments and atmospheres that are different every day, and will leave us with some intense family memories.

It would take too long to go into detail about all the advantages of Self-Drive, too long to describe the list of species seen along the trails… Go for it!

We’d like to warmly thank Julie and Vincent from Tawana for their unfailing support since January, and on whom you can count for the perfect organization of your Self-Drive Safari, in Botswana, but also in Namibia, Zambia, Zimbabwe or South Africa.

Have a great trip!
