Botswana is a wild country with magnificent landscapes. To travel by self-drive is to be immersed 100% of the time in this incredible nature, to live in close proximity to the animals without having the feeling of disturbing them. On a self-drive safari, you travel with the essentials, which gives you even more freedom.

We took a 3-week self-drive trip to Botswana. On the menu were many nights in a converted 4×4 and a few nights in hotels. Julie and Vincent were with us every step of the way, from planning the best sandy tracks to take (depending on the season and time of day), booking campsites (nothing to do with our campsites, so we’ll use the English term ;-), and other activities that aren’t necessarily in their catalog, but they managed to find us the good deals that aren’t always easy to book from a distance.

As for the self-drive, it’s just fantastic. We’re a family of 5, including 3 children, and we had no trouble at all, but lots of emotions and even more images of animals that will stay with us forever.

Thanks again to Julie and Vincent for giving us the tools we needed to experience this trip!
