Private concessions in the Okavango Delta

Listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Okavango Delta is the largest inland delta in the world, covering an area equivalent to half the size of Belgium.

Its source is in the highlands of northern Angola, where the Cubango River rises before crossing Namibia and reaching Botswana, where it takes the name Okavango. It is in the arid lands of the Kalahari that the river divides into multiple channels, forming this incredible delta that does not reach the sea and is lost in the desert.

The Okavango Delta is one of the most beautiful wildlife sanctuaries in Africa. It consists of floodplains and a network of channels surrounding idyllic islands where wildlife thrives. It is one of the richest and most diverse ecosystems on the African continent. Birds abound and most of Africa’s mammals can be seen here.

The Okavango Delta concessions are generally accessible by air taxi only. All activities are guided and off-road safaris are permitted.

Private concessions of Linyanti, Selinda and Kwando

Located between the eastern Okavango and Chobe Park, these three private concessions rival the beauty of the Okavango Delta with equally exceptional plains and marsh landscapes.

During the dry season, from June to October, the permanent waters of the Kwando and Linyanti rivers become an important stopover for migrating buffalo, zebra, wildebeest and elephants, which inevitably attracts many predators. From November to May, these concessions are a treat for birdwatchers.

Here, safaris come in all shapes and sizes: day, night, by car, on foot, by mokoro, and even by helicopter!
