Nature, tranquillity, a return to simplicity and lots of emotions!
Camping and self-driving on African tracks was a first for us. The only downside to our trip: it was too short! ;)
Every day is an adventure and a discovery: driving on the tracks, discovering track4africa, being blocked by a herd of elephants, watching cheetahs stalking wildebeest for an hour, being surprised by a giraffe watching you from behind a bush… And what a surprise to see lions hunting in the morning!
In Botswana, it’s absolute calm and serenity: you see a maximum of 4-5 cars a day, there’s no network coverage and the people are welcoming: pure bliss!
In terms of scenery, arriving in Chobe at sunset after a short drive will remain etched in our memories: elephants, giraffes and buffalo gather at the river’s edge and it’s magical.
Thank you to Julie and Vincent for their perfect organisation: choice of lodges/camping, distances, itineraries, transfers.
