Thank you to Vincent and Julie from Tawana for perfectly organizing our first self-drive experience as a family, with two children aged 7 and 12.

This experience, which at first seemed completely out of reach, turned out to be a total pleasure and will definitely influence our future vacation choices.

What I appreciated most was their complete availability and the ease of communication (thank you for always responding to all my WhatsApp messages on any subject… at any time… and there were so many of them…). And what responsiveness! Once the project was launched, everything was customized and finalized in less than a week.

Tawana Self Drive is more than an agency, it’s personal, it’s a meeting at the end of the trip, it’s listening to our every need to create THE trip that suited us, it’s perfect knowledge of the terrain, it’s a debriefing of the experience.

It was FABULOUS!

We almost never use a travel agency to organize our vacations, but this time it was a real bonus! After listening to our expectations, the proposed itinerary seemed completely tailor-made, unique, and perfect for us 😍

Add to this professionalism the magic of Botswana (and a few days in Zimbabwe for Victoria Falls) with its rich wildlife, unfenced camps, and friendly people, and you have a wonderful vacation. For all of us, these 14 days were perfect!

Hearing lions roar at night in Savuti…
Seeing a convoy of 300 elephants in Chobe Park…
Encountering a lion family in Mbudi…
Sleeping near hippos at the Khwai River…
Watching a pack of wild dogs from the helicopter or at Third Bridge…

And I could go on and on, there were so many great moments! The kids loved it.

And to reassure the faint-hearted: no hiccups, no flat tires, no getting stuck in the sand, and we didn’t even need the satellite phone that we were glad to have just in case!
