A decades old dream made true
In the late 90s I got infected with “African safari fever” but did not have the opportunity to come back. But as she truly loves animals, I had to show this magnificent paradise on earth, which is stretching around the Okavango and Zambezi rivers to my wonderful wife Mayumi.
From my trip long ago I had some plan in mind and it was quickly discussed with Vincent, who immediately figured out all important details and always quickly came back with good and supportive advise. I truly appreciated his great support and expertise. He never let us hang and always replied very soon.
We decided to start in Kasane, then for our first week to cross into Zimbabwe and travel to Victoria Falls and into Hwange National Park. After that we continued to magical Kubu Island, Boteti, Maun, magnificent Moremi, Kwai and Savuti and finished via Chobe Riverfront back to Kasane.
We garnished our route with some extra highlights such as a beautiful private sunset cruise on Chobe, a 3 hours boat trip deep into the Okawango Delta from Mboma boat station, 2 helicopter flights at Victoria Falls and over the delta from Maun and a tranquil Mokoro trip at Mbudi camp.
Not exactly knowing what to expect we tried to maintain a mix of accommodations and camping.
For the car we opted for a Hilux Bushcamper, which made setting up the camp a matter of few minutes and included all necessities for amazing African nights.
There was nothing missing, Vincent informed us in detail upfront and therefore we could relax and enjoy every moment of this magic safari trip into one of the last true paradises on earth.
We are planning to be back in 2025.
Thank you Julie and Vincent for making it possible.
