Where to find fuel in Botswana?
Botswana has a lot of filling stations but mainly concentrated in the south and east side of the country. The northern Botswana doesn’t have much oppotunity to refill so it’s essential to consider it when planning an itinerary in the national parks and reserves.
The most important points to remember:
1- No fuel is available between Maun and Kasane via Moremi GR and Chobe
A new filling station has opened in Muchenje Village, West side of Chobe River Front.
2- The station in Rakops has improved its reliability but it’s still a good idea to fill up in Maun or Nata before exploring the Kalahari and Makgadikgadi areas.
The Rakops station can be called at 72643490 or 71316170 to check Diesel and Petrol availability.
3- Always try to fill up with fuel at every opportunity you get!
