The whole trip was fabulous, what a great experience, we did not expect to see so many animals during these 2 weeks and to our great surprise, the encounters added up a little more each day. Botswana has pristine wildlife reserves with beautiful landscapes that vary from site to site and stunning sunrises and sunsets every day.

The Lokuthula Lodge is a good starting point and has a restaurant where the local atmosphere is very pronounced, the diner is lively!

The victoria falls are impressive, taking a raincoat would have been a plus, we were tricked!

Then we headed to Kasane for the vehicle handover and spent our first night in the bush at the Senyati Camp! The campsite is exceptional to watch the elephants in their natural environment from a bunker and a platform. We also did the boat trip on the Chobe River, which allows us to observe elephants, crocodiles, buffalos, birds, hippo… The Chobe National Park was amazing, first sand driving, omnipresent animals and first lions.

Direction Nata and stop at Elephants sands, a water area where elephants come every evening and have a drink just in front of our tent.

Road to Gweta, outing with a guide to observe baobabs (a dream for me), observations of meerkats and night under the stars on the Pans, what an experience, no light pollution, aperitif and meal around the fire and mattresses on the ground, a live sunrise and quad ride.

Road to the Nxai pans, we didn’t expect such a challenging drive, but it was a great experience and worth it!

What an exceptional site, the elephants cross unceasingly the camp-site, impossible to finish a part of card! They even stole our bottles of water! It is certainly the place we made the most beautiful and closest photos! The main waterhole area also allowed us to observe large groups of elephants at sunset.

For ending our trip, we started a guided mobile safari in Moremi with Lucky, and two staff members for cooking and logistical support. It was my time to enjoy watching wilflife from the back of the vehicle! The camp was royal, the food was perfect and the morning and afternoon game drives allowed us to come across some exceptional wildlife scenes, several groups of lions, a leopard eating an antelope, 9 lionesses eating an elephant in the morning and 19 crocodiles in the evening on the same spot.

We got really close to the animals and as expected they were everywhere. On the last evening, a hyena approached within 2 meters of my chair while we were having dinner. Lucky told us that there is only one rule in the bush: “don’t run, otherwise you become prey ». I didn’t move!

Since our return, our friends and family have discovered Botswana as a safari destination and have taken information about the trip. It seems that our adventure made a lot of people dream!

Thank you for all your precious assistance before and during the trip, the brilliant itinerary, the perfect spots and the good plans!
