We booked a self-drive safari through Tawana Self Drive in May 2022.

The experience with Vincent and Julie was great. They were very friendly and were truly committed to giving us the best experience possible, and we did have an amazing experience.

The vast wilderness of Botswana is amazing to explore. We did a 3 week road trip discovering lots of Botswana’s beauty. We loved the Central Kalahari due to the savage environment and the feeling of being completely emerged in nature. The North of the country was also great to visit with plenty of big game and green nature present throughout the parks. Although the camping is less wild compared to the Central Kalahari we still had an amazing time.

During the trip we had the chance to disconnect from our busy lives in Europe and really go back to basics and connect to nature. There is something special about making and cooking over a campfire every night while spending time with friends or family.

We cannot recommend self-drive safari’s enough after this first amazing experience!
