First and foremost, we would like to extend our warmest thanks to the whole Tawana team, Julie and Vincent, for their invaluable advice throughout the year of preparation, as well as for their support during the trip. Thanks to their availability and expertise, we always felt safe and well-informed, which allowed us to enjoy this wonderful adventure to the full.

For three weeks, we travelled through Namibia, then Botswana, before ending our journey at Victoria Falls. The mix of camping and lodges was perfect, offering us both total immersion in nature and the comfort we needed to recharge our batteries. The few days we spent in the Okavango Delta were incredible.

Meeting Julie and Vincent in Maun was also a very pleasant and interesting experience. Their expert advice helped us to better understand the self-drive safari and to approach the experience with peace of mind and confidence. This was particularly true of the frequent ‘face-to-face’ encounters with elephants in the parks.

Throughout our journey, we discovered incredible landscapes and had extraordinary encounters with African wildlife. Observing the animals in their natural habitat is in itself a deeply moving experience, but witnessing a few hunting scenes served as a powerful reminder of the reality and raw beauty of the wild.

This trip will undoubtedly remain the most wonderful we’ve ever been on. It gave us unforgettable memories, intense emotions and a genuine sense of freedom. One thing is certain: we’re already longing to go back!
